Quantum Zen
I founded Quantum Zen in 2025 creating an advisory partnership of professionals skilled in the development and enhancement of surgical and medical interventional teams where patients and regulators expect consistent high performance in an mission critical environment where complexity intersects with unpredictability.
The consequence and challenge of conflicted pressures can place both organisations and individuals at risk of ambiguous purpose, stagnation of ambition and leadership inertia.
Quantum Zen identifies the elements that influence the mission, mastery and motivation of clinical and management teams, aligned to the successful value proposition of the healthcare organisation.
An experienced Consultant Neurosurgeon, and Medical Leadership advocate, I have extensive experience of working in complex healthcare organisations. I have an established history of working in the NHS & Independent Sector as well as in advisory roles to the healthcare industry, surgical professional and medical regulatory bodies.
I have a keen interest in Organisational Culture, Professional Identification and Transformational Healthcare. In particular I have a focus on legitimacy and reputation of healthcare organisations and the rebuilding of individuals and departments that have become stigmatised so they can regain trust and deliver meaningful and beneficial healthcare.
I develop Clinical Leadership and Medical Management individuals and teams, working in partnership on strategies that complement professional activities in highly regulated healthcare environments, in particular surgical and interventional settings where high performance and high reliability are essential requirements.
I am interested in issues that change both the understanding and delivery of healthcare as well as the legal, civic and social drivers of healthcare innovation and regulation. In particular, I am enthusiastic about helping individuals and teams achieve their maximum potential.
